As one of the largest employers in Iredell County, NGK has two locations in Mooresville a manufacturing facility located at 119 Mazeppa Rd and a warehouse located at 259 Manufactures Blvd. The company has been in the Town of Mooresville for over 30 years, commencing operations in the fall of 1988. is a subsidiary of NGK INSULATORS LTD., one of the world’s leading ceramic technology companies with its headquarters in Japan. NGK expects the automation will improve the company’s productivity while freeing up several key existing personnel members to be deployed at other areas within the company. This investment would automate two of the company’s six extrusion finishing areas and five of the nine inspection lines. The proposed investment would be the company’s 17th expansion for the acquisition of $9.4 million in machinery and equipment at their manufacturing facility in Mooresville.
